St. Michael School Athletics
St. Michael School is the proud home of the Warriors!
We have a winning tradition over many years of athletic competition. More importantly, our athletes compete under the guidelines and supervision of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).
The Northwest Indiana CYO is committed to providing a ministry that helps bring youth to their full human potential. The CYO enables youth to reach for higher achievement by having requirements demanding specific grades in order to be able to participate and maintain eligibility in CYO programs. The objective of CYO athletics is to be well organized, uniform in philosophy, properly supervised and provide opportunities for the youth of Northwest Indiana to develop physical fitness, self-discipline, mental alertness, and an attitude of good sportsmanship based upon Catholic principles of fair play and cooperation. Students are allowed to play sports with no try-outs or cuts, and each player on a team is guaranteed play time for part of every game.
