“1000 Words” – A Journey of Faith, Art, and Purpose
This painting was born from a moment of inspiration during a Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church. Father Marty spoke about the historical role of stained-glass windows in storytelling, saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” These words resonated deeply with Frederico Pintor, an artist who saw an opportunity to create something meaningful. He realized he could channel his talent into crafting a painting that mimicked the beauty and significance of stained glass, telling a story of faith, connection, and purpose.
“I decided to embark on a journey, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023, and concluding on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.” Frederico’s vision was to visit Catholic churches across the nation, asking priests to make a single mark or scribble on a blank canvas. Each contribution would become part of a larger whole—an artwork inspired by stained glass that reflected the themes of unity, diversity, and the power of collective creation.
