Stewardship & Parish Administration

our wonderful parishioners

We are blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful parishioners here at St. Michael’s. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure help us to do great things together – for when we trust in God and allow His love to flow through us to others, we are helping to build His kingdom here on Earth, here in Schererville, here at St. Michael Parish.

Our ultimate goal is to share stewardship from each person to God and back. We invite everyone to challenge themselves as Catholics to accept our baptismal responsibility and place our gifts, resources, and selves at God’s service in and through the Church. What are your special gifts and talents? Are you ready to share them? God is ready to accept them! Contact Lynda Hemmerling at 219-775-2067, or Debbie Dahlkamp at 219-680-6665 if you would like to join our Commission or find out more about answering Jesus’ call to stewardship.

AV Ministry

The AV Ministry plays a vital role in supporting the technical needs of St. Michael’s Parish. Through the dedication and expertise of talented volunteers, the parish is able to share the message of God with a wider community. This includes live-streaming Sunday Mass, funerals, weddings, and special events, ensuring that all parishioners, whether near or far, can be part of these sacred moments. By harnessing technology, the AV Ministry enhances worship and fellowship, allowing the parish to reach beyond the walls of the church and bring the word of God to those in need of spiritual connection.

This ministry maintains and beautifies the exterior grounds of our parish and sponsors a flower sale in the spring as a fundraiser for the ministry. The many flower beds surrounding the church, school, grottos, and other shrines are always in need of weeding and a green thumb.
