This painting was born from a moment of inspiration during a Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Father Marty spoke about the historical role of stained-glass windows in storytelling, saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” These words resonated deeply with Frederico Pintor, an artist who saw an opportunity to create something meaningful. He realized he could channel his talent into crafting a painting that mimicked the beauty and significance of stained glass, telling a story of faith, connection, and purpose.
“I decided to embark on a journey, beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023, and concluding on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.” Frederico’s vision was to visit Catholic churches across the nation, asking priests to make a single mark or scribble on a blank canvas. Each contribution would become part of a larger whole—an artwork inspired by stained glass that reflected the themes of unity, diversity, and the power of collective creation.
This Auction is NOW open for viewing and bidding. Auction will close on April 27th at 5:30 pm.
